I've known Kaushik for over 2.5 years, and his energy and innovative spirit have always stood out. Working with Kaushik during his research internship at K LAB, which is the communications laboratory at TU Berlin’s Institute for Urban & Regional Planning, allowed me to witness his exceptional dedication and work ethic up close. Kaushik’s independence and leadership stood out as he single-handedly developed an innovative project on the environmental impact of urban trees using Berlin's Open Tree Data set. His self-motivation and resourcefulness, evident in his mastery of new tools like QGIS, are commendable. Additionally, he consistently engaged with the public, seeking feedback and refining his work. His intellectual curiosity, global outlook, and commitment to creating real-world impact make him a truly remarkable individual.

Kaushik's selection as the World Bank Solutions for Youth Employment (S4YE) Youth Advisory Group member highlights his exceptional commitment to environmental action and innovation. His community-driven projects, such as implementing grey water harvesting systems, developing a water overflow controller, and other innovative solutions are proof that he is committed to create a real-world, tangible impact in the societies we live in and the climate.
