Project Coordination Intern at Surge Impact

During my internship at Surge Impact, I led the research efforts for 150+ climate change and diversity & inclusion experts to identify mentors and panelists for startup incubation programs, driving innovative action against pressing environmental and social challenges.

Key Achievements:

  • 150+ Experts Researched: Spearheaded an in-depth exploration of experts in climate change and diversity & inclusion, ensuring our team had access to the best thought leaders for upcoming incubations. This research directly influenced the selection of top-tier mentors and panelists.
  • Climate and D&I Startups Explored: Identified cutting-edge startups and technologies addressing climate change and fostering diversity. My detailed reports provided actionable insights for the Surge Impact team to support emerging solutions in these areas.
  • Selection Committee Contributions: Actively participated in the selection process for startup incubations, providing strategic input and recommendations during panel discussions, driving the identification of impactful startups.

Tools & Techniques Mastered:

  • Hunter.io, Skrapp.io, Snov.io, SignalHire: Leveraged these tools to gather and verify contact information efficiently, optimizing outreach to experts and influencers.
  • Google Bard & ChatGPT: Used AI-driven research tools to streamline data gathering on climate and D&I topics, ensuring high-quality insights and validated information for our research documents.
  • Unhook & Streak: Enhanced productivity by using distraction-blocking tools and email tracking for efficient communication management.

Impact: My contributions strengthened the climate action and diversity initiatives by connecting Surge Impact with influential leaders and groundbreaking startups, ultimately laying the foundation for future collaborations. Through these efforts, I honed my research skills, gained exposure to advanced tools, and contributed meaningfully to driving forward both environmental and social impact solutions.
